News items for FBLA members from Ms. Werner

The CHS track is reserved for May 17 & 18 for the American Cancer
Society Fund-Raiser.

SOOO, we need to prepare for that by having students attend the Feb. 9 &
10 training session at Camp Collins.  Six students have already decided
to go.  Come to a very short meeting next Tuesday, after school, in Room
385, to get more information and sign-up form.  Christine Cha went to a
meeting and has lots of information to share.

Judges are needed for the State Conference.  If one of your parents or
another adult you know agrees to act as a judge, your name will be
entered into a drawing for a prize.  Not sure what that prize is yet,
however.

There is a contest sponsored by Oregon FBLA to design a state pin.  If
interested, ask me for the guidelines and rules.

February 10-16 is National FBLA Week.  We are supposed to plan some
activities to promote FBLA in the school and the chapter.  Give ideas to
the officers for our next planning session.

There is a new dress code available.  I’ll have copies at the next
meeting.

Thursday, Jan. 24 lunch meeting for officers to plan next meeting & FBLA
week.

Feb. 6 is the last day for taking on-line tests for Skills Contest.
There’s still time to study!

Saturday, Feb 9, morning, Public-speaking events at Concordia.  $25. if
you miss.

Saturday, Feb. 9 & 10, camp-out and training at Camp Collins.
